County Antrim Attractions
County Antrim is one of the six counties that form Northern Ireland. It is the 9th largest County in Ireland in terms of area, and 2nd largest in terms of population. Click here for a map of County Antrim. This county is home to some of the best Northern Ireland attractions.
|The Giant’s Causeway
The Giants Causeway is Northern Ireland’s premier tourist attraction. The eighth Wonder of the World was formed 60 Million years ago and has over 40,000 columns of basalt rock.
|Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge
Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge hosts an exhilarating experience. It is located on the North Antrim Coast between Ballycastle and Balintoy. The bridge is approx. 70ft across and spans a chasm of 80ft deep above the sea.
Dunluce Castle is one of the most extensive ruins of a medieval castle in Northern Ireland.This late-medieval castle lies between Portballintrae and Portrush in County Antrim.
|Old Bushmills DistilleryOld Bushmills Distillery is the oldest whiskey distillery in Ireland. It has been legally producing Irish Malt Whisky since 1608.
The Old Bushmills Distillery invites you to experience for yourself the craft and skills of making an Irish Single Malt Whiskey. I think this is one of the best Northern Ireland attractions.
Carrickfergus Castle is an excellent example of a Norman castle in Northern Ireland. It is situated on the shore of Belfast Lough.
|Glenariff Forest ParkGlenariff Forest Park is a beautiful and scenic area, situated in County Antrim.The forest park is part of the famous nine ‘Glens of Antrim’. Glenariff is known as the ‘Queen of the Glens’ and you can see why when you visit.
It is considered by many people to be the most beautiful Glen of all.
Rathlin Island is a boot shaped island that lies just off the causeway coast at Ballycastle.

This is a great family day out. The gardens are massive and great for kids to explore. There is a guided tour of the house, where you can see an array of amazing paintings as well as the full history behind them.
The Exploris Aquarium provides an exhilarating and enlightening day out for the whole family. You can observe many sea creatures in their natural environment including seals, jellyfish, starfish and rays.
The Silent Valley is a Mountain Park situated in the high Mournes. It features a dam ringed by the famous Mourne wall. It is an impressive Northern Ireland Attraction.

The Tropical Butterfly House comprises hundreds of free-flying exotic butterflies accommodated to closely resemble their natural habitat.
|Tollymore Forest Park
Tollymore Forest Park is a great place if you enjoy outdoor activities. You can go walking, horse riding, orienteering or even jogging. A stupendous place for a cool family picnic.
|Ulster Folk and Transport Museum
The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum illustrates the way of life and the traditions of the people in the north of Ireland in the early 20th Century. It was recently voted Irish Museum of the Year.

|Armagh PlanetariumThe Armagh Planetarium is a major tourist attraction in Northern Ireland. You can take part in the various workshops that are organised by the Planetarium staff when you visit. These activities include rocket building, meteorite impacts, solar viewing and even space robots.
The Planetarium holds regular viewing nights throughout the year, when members of the public can check out their favourite stars and galaxies though Ireland’s biggest telescope.
|Gosford Forest Park
Gosford Forest Park was the first conservation forest to be designated in Northern Ireland. It is open all year round and has many activities to enjoy and compelling scenery to view.
The Argory is a charming National trust property. It is a delightful Irish gentry house surrounded by an alluring wooded estate. It was built in the 19th century and has a captivating Edwardian feel.

The Ulster American Folk Park is an open-air museum that tells the story of emigration from Ulster to America in the 18th & 19th centuries.
County Londonderry Attractions
|Mussenden TempleMussenden Temple is a distinct and unmistakable landmark on the coast of North Londonderry. It is one of the most extraordinary Northern Ireland attractions.

County Fermanagh Attractions
Devenish Island has one of the best kept monastic sites in Northern Ireland. The 12th century site contains the remains of a round tower, graveyard, celtic cross and a church.
